The town's prosperity was based upon industries like brickmaking, brewing and iron-smelting. The town still has a thriving manufacturing sector, even though many of these industries have stopped to exist. There is also the Horsham branch of the pharmaceutical company Novartis which was once part of Ciba-Geigy. The RSPCA has a base in Horsham and so does the British television station ITV.

Today, Horsham is home to numerous independent stores and restaurants as well as a variety of chains, including the Costa Coffee chain. The town has a large number of students and is a popular spot for young people to reside. The town is home to several railway stations, including Horsham and Horsham-Crawley as well as Christ's Hospital.

The town is located in the middle of the constituency for the parliamentary elections of Horsham which was established in 1983 and currently represented by Jeremy Quin. The Borough of Horsham is also home to the Bishop of Horsham, who has responsibility for the majority of West Sussex and some parishes in the region of East Sussex and Kent.

Bromley

Bromley is an outer city of London located on the southeastern edge of the metropolis. There are numerous parks and green areas in the area, and it's served by numerous railway stations. It is also a great place for commuters since it is near to the M25 and M20 motorways. It is renowned for its excellent schools and reasonably priced properties.
